DIZO, the Realme TechLife sub-brand focused on wearables and other gadgets, launches two new smartwatches today and they are original creations rather than rebranded Realme stock.
Both watches will be available on Flipkart starting at noon on September 22 (next Wednesday). There will be an early bird deal with lower prices for the first batch of sales. Soon after the launch the watches will also be sold through select retailers.
DIZO Watch 2
The DIZO Watch 2 has a 1.69” display, the biggest display in the sub INR 3,000 segment in India. Not that the watch itself costs that much – it will be INR 2,000 during the launch period, though eventually its price will go up to INR 3,000.
The display maxes out at 600 nits of brightness for better outdoor visibility and is topped with 2.5D curved glass. Compared to something like the Realme Watch 2, it’s a match for brightness but the DIZO display is larger (1.69” vs. 1.4”).
The body of the watch is made out of a zinc alloy, available in Classic Black, Silver Grey, Ivory White and Golden Pink. The wrist strap can be swapped out with other 20 mm straps to customize the look, the watch also comes pre-loaded with over 100 watch faces.
Let’s talk exercise. The body of the DIZO Watch 2 is water resistant up to 50m (5 ATM), so you can take it swimming. It can also track 15 indoor and outdoor sports.
For health tracking there are the usual 24/7 heart rate tracking and blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking. There is a sleep monitor and a step counter too, along with a menstruation cycle tracker. The watch can remind you to stretch your legs and drink a glass of water, as well as guide you through a simple breathing exercise.
The 260 mAh battery can last up to 10 days of typical use and is relatively quick to charge – the process takes 2 hours. During those 10 days you will be able to receive notifications from your phone as well as control the music player and camera.
You can find the DIZO Watch 2 on Flipkart. Again, it’s coming on September 22.
DIZO Watch Pro
The DIZO Watch Pro has an even larger 1.75” display with the same 600 nits brightness. And it has a bigger battery to back it up, 390 mAh, which is enough for up to 14 days on a single charge.
The watch has an IP68 rating, so it is dust tight and can survive rain and shallow dips in water (up to 1.5m). Without the 5 ATM water resistance, however, it is not suitable for swimming.
On the plus side, there is a built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver for accurate tracking of running, cycling and so on. This gives the watch even more sport modes (90). That aside, it has a similar set of sensors: 24/7 heart rate tracking, SpO2 measurements, step counter and sleep tracker. And it can show notifications from your phone as well as control the music player and camera.
The DIZO Watch Pro will be available on Flipkart starting at INR 4,500, but after the launch sale its cost will go up slightly to INR 5,000. You will be able to pick from Black and Space Blue colorways. Both watches will be available from noon September 22.
